Mawson Resources RC Drilling Program Update at the Vargbäcken Gold Project, Skellefte Mining District, Sweden

Vancouver, Canada -- Mawson Resources Limited ("Mawson") TSXv-MAW; Frankfurt-MRY. Mr Michael Hudson, President is pleased to provide an update on the Phase 2 reverse circulation "RC" drill program at the Vargbäcken prospect in Northern Sweden.

To date, seven RC drill holes have been completed for 891m. Samples have been submitted to the ALS Chemex laboratory in Sweden, and first results are expected within the next few weeks. Reporting of results has been delayed due to commissioning of a new RC drill rig at site, however drilling is ongoing and now progressing as planned.

On completion of the Phase 2 program at Vargbäcken the RC drill rig will move 4km along strike to test the Middagsberget gold prospect from mid to late June.

Mark Saxon, Vice-President of Exploration for Mawson and Member of the AusIMM, is the qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 and has verified the information contained in this release.
